Our Dinning Area 

Bonnie and I had closed the restaurant after the Columbus Day weekend. In hopes of finding winter jobs to get us thru what we knew would be a slow season. Bonnie went to work at the school in the kitchen right away and I was fortunate enough to find a job driving for FedEx within the next month. all seemed to be going well until the end of January when I had the misfortune of slipping on the ice and tearing the quadriceps muscle right off my right knee cap. Now with me laid up, Bonnie was the main bread winner. However she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy during the April vacation. Just a note to say that all went well, Bonnie returned to work after just a 2 week rest. Praise the Lord that the cancer did not spread and that she will not have to undergo any chemo therapy.

 Because of all of this we have decided to retire a few of the things that we do. We will no longer be serving dinners, or pizza. This is because the long hours associated with that has proven to be to much on Bonnie. Also a 49 year tradition will come to and end. We will not be doing any more home baked goods. It seems the modern world prefers to get its baked good from convenient stores and that home made baked goods are no longer an in demand item.
